HEIC to JPG & PNG Converter

What this policy covers

This privacy policy explains how the mobile application HEIC to JPG & PNG Converter (the “app”) handles information when you use it. The app is published under the package name heic.jpg.png.converter.

The short version

What we do NOT collect

What stays on your device

Converted files (JPG, PNG, WEBP, or PDF) are saved to your device’s gallery and to a private app folder so the “Converted files” screen can show them. Your most recent conversions (file name, size, format, timestamp) are stored locally in an on-device database, capped at 50 entries with the oldest removed automatically. Your theme and metadata preferences are also stored locally. None of this data is transmitted off the device by us.

Permissions the app requests

Photos / Files access

The app uses the system file picker so you can choose the HEIC/HEIF (or other image) files you want to convert, and saves the converted copies back to your gallery. The app reads only the files you select and never enumerates your full gallery for any other purpose.

Internet access

The app uses the internet only for serving advertisements through Google AdMob, and to send anonymous usage analytics and crash reports (to Google Firebase and to our own first-party analytics service). Your photos and converted files are never sent over the network.

Advertising — Google AdMob

We monetize the app with Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process the following on Google’s servers in order to serve and measure ads:

In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland, the app shows a Google consent message before serving personalized ads, and you can change your choice later from the app’s Settings screen. You can reset or remove your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings. Google’s use of advertising data is governed by Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Google’s practices for AdMob are described here: support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.

Analytics and crash reporting (Google Firebase)

The app uses Google Firebase (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics) to understand how the app is used in aggregate and to detect and fix crashes. For these purposes Google may collect and process on its servers:

This data is used only to improve the app’s stability and experience. The app also uses a first-party, self-hosted analytics service that collects the same kind of anonymous usage data (an anonymous app-instance identifier and interaction events), never any personal data, and is used only to improve the app. It is not used to serve personalized ads, is not sold, and never includes your personal content. Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and Firebase’s practices are described here: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Children

The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Data retention

Locally-stored conversion history is retained on your device only and is capped at 50 entries. You can clear it at any time from inside the app (Converted files → trash icon). Uninstalling the app deletes all on-device data.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing on our side for you to access, correct, export, or delete. For data Google AdMob may hold about your device’s advertising identifier, you can manage your preferences in your device settings or via Google’s ad settings page: adssettings.google.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is indicated by the “Last updated” date below. Material changes will be published at this URL before they take effect in the app.
